How to: Restore and edit old photos in your projects
We all have them: photos tucked away in albums or shoeboxes, a little faded, a little scratched, but full of memories worth preserving. Maybe it's a photo of your grandparents from decades ago, or a childhood picture that's lost some of its color over the years.

Step 1: Click on the Photo
When designing any Saal Digital product, select the old or damaged photo in your project, click on Edit image then choose AI Retouch from the menu.
Step 2: Enter Your Prompt
You will see that the software already suggests the prompt “Restore old image”. You can try that prompt, or also describe exactly what you'd like improved. For example:
Step 3: Review and Adjust
Once the AI has restored your photo, take a look at the result. If needed, simply run the tool again with an adjusted prompt for further improvements. Happy? Click on Apply changes to go back to the designer.
Once your photos are restored, they're ready for their next chapter: printed, framed, or brought together in a Photo Book that preserves them for years to come.
